Luft ne Muriq
All four songs explain the wars between the Albanians from Rjepsi and the Montenegreans. The first songs talks bout how the Albanians held down the land and would not give it up. Can Hasa (Gjoka) was the Bajraktar ( the flag holder) and would always be the one to lead into the war. He had two brothers Dasho Hasa and Sulo Hasa.. It also mentions Tahir Gjoka, Selman Muriqi, Zenel Rama and Brahim Rama. The song mentions how the montenegreans wanted to take the land but as long as the Albanians have there men they will not give it up and will never forget there traditions.
The second song starts off with King Krajl Nikolla calling out to his troops. He wants to send them out to Muriq to burn down Muriq and kill the people there. Then one of the soilders gets up and says we shouldn’t go to Muriq cause once before they were able to take on our troops. Then another troop says we will not come back alive from Muriq and King Nikolla gets mad and stands up and says who ever does not want to go to Muriq is not a man not a woman. He says I do not want you to leave one person in Muriq alive. The only person that the King wanted the troops to bring back alive was Cano hasa.
The troops then came into Muriq yelling that they were going to catch CanoHasa alive. They were not able to catch him though. Legend has it he was very fast. When people told him that he should leave Muriq he said he would not hide from the kings nor the troops and since he was the flag holder he stayed and fought. His brother Dasho Hasa fought by his side to and killed 13 troops. Eventually though Dasho Hasa was caught and tourtered. The third brother Sulo Hasa was actually able to get away he took his gun and ran. After this Cana Hasa saw that he needed more help and went to Pinc to get help. He told the people that the troops are in the Muriq burning down houses and killing the people living in Muriq. Tahir Gjoks also got some young men and people from Bes to join the war who helped out a lot. Eventually word about the war reached Kraj and all the flag holders grabbed there people to come and help out in the war. After getting all these people to help in the war the montenegreans had seen that there were a lot of people comin out of these towns and didn’t know how many more would come so once again they would have to leave.
